Hear from Phoebe
“I’ve been doing Peer Support activities for a year and a half. I have Williams Syndrome and have a fear of heights. I get nervous going up stairs and lifts. The staff has helped me a lot with self-confidence and independence. It’s always fun going to lots of different places with Peer Support.”

What service do you use from Disability Macarthur?
Peer Support, I’ve been using them for a year and a half now.
What was your experience with Disability Macarthur?
It’s always fun. They are always helpful. They know how to help the other kids and helping them to get self confidence and they help to understand the kid’s need.
How has the service made an impact on you?
They mainly helped me with self confidence and independence and it’s such a fun place to go to. I feel that my confidence has increased. They mainly ask me, are you okay with your own money and I say yes, and I find help at times when I need help. They take us all to different places and it’s different places every time and it’s a good experience for kids to go to different places.
Would you recommend Disability Macarthur with other families?
Yes, definitely. I would definitely recommend them to other families.
