Volunteer Host Families – Carers

To care for children / young people on a short term basis, who have special needs

Disability Macarthur is seeking people from Wollondilly, Camden and Campbelltown areas, who can offer a warm caring environment for children / young people in need of regular respite care.

This is a voluntary position, however a reimbursement is given to contribute to expenses.

Casual Disability Support Workers

Disability Macarthur is currently seeking to employ people as Casual Disability Support Workers to work across various programme types within the Macarthur Region. Disability Macarthur is committed to providing well organized and effective services which are individualised or group based as well as within short term accommodation with children, adolescents and adults with a disability.

Supporting clients with daily living activities,

Attending to personal care needs.

Community and recreational supports assisting clients to meet their
goals.

Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWC)

NDIS – Workers Orientation Module Certificate
Z
Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
Z
Hold a current driver’s license & comprehensive car insurance
Z
You must be willing to undertake the On-Line Learning modules provided

Disability Macarthur is an innovative organisation who has been operating within the Macarthur Region for over 40 years. We are looking for dynamic and passionate casual support staff to join our team.

We provide programmes to individuals with a disability which maybe in home, community and group settings.

Problem solving skills and able to respond in an emergency

Good knowledge in written & communication skills

Ability to work within a team environment and autonomously
Z
A team player with a minimum of 6 months demonstrated experience working with adults & children with disabilities
Z
Experience with personal care, manual handling and other activities of daily living
Z
Able to work flexible hours & willingness to do shift work & active overnight
Z
Effective time management and personal organisational skills

WH&S requirements
Z
Knowledge of relevant legislation
Z
Must complete any Online learning modules provided
