Family Connections
This is a NDIS Approved ProgramThe Extra Support and Advice We All Need From Time to Time to Raise Happy, Healthy Kids
Now You Can Find Out
Family Connections is a casual, group of mums and dads who meet every Tuesday morning to support each other and share parenting tips. They bring their kids (up to 12 years of age) so we can all get to know them and help with specific advice. It’s a bit like having a whole team of ‘super nannies’ on your side.
While a qualified team leader guides and oversees the advice, most of the help comes from others in the group who know first-hand what you are going through. If you feel you need extra support, the team leader can refer you to the right program or counsellor.
Practical Advice… On The Spot
Struggling with bedtime battles? Can’t get your child to eat properly? Being driven up the wall with tantrums? Concerned about toilet training, aggressive behaviour or problems at school? Ask mums and dads who have experienced and overcome these same challenges. Get specific advice you can apply straight away.
Come Often Or Just As You Need
Parenting is a journey that nobody fully masters. Just as you’re starting to feel confident with the ‘baby’ stage, your little one turns into a toddler with a mind of his own. And before you know it, he goes to pre-school and learns a whole new set of behaviours (and colourful words) from his friends.
Each stage is different and has its own unique challenges. Talking with parents who have experienced (and survived) the stage you are entering, can be very helpful and encouraging. So feel free to attend Family Connections regularly or just pop by when you feel you need some specific advice.
There is no pressure or obligation, so drop by Family Connections and meet mums and dads who know what you’re going through and can offer support and practical tips to raise healthy, happy kids.
